Legal and Ethical issue
The issues with the advertising campaign is people could feel as you are disturbing them when trying to hand them a flyer as you are trying to get them to listen to a radio station and they might just look it as another reason for advertising. How you can go about avoiding offending or disturbing people is to either try and pick out specific people that the advertising plan has target the audience or the way you approach to potential costumers. One of the main legal issues that pops up when advertising is copyright. When creating the logo for our clients company we need to make sure nothing we use is copyrighted. This could really let our client down if we did use something that was copyrighted as it could affect her business negatively if she uses a copyrighted logo for her company. Another legal and ethical issues that we need to remember if the fact that we are trying to gain her customers of all ages and backgrounds so when showing off her art to possible customers we need to use suitable pieces of artwork. Our client, in the past, has painted nude images, this would be unsuitable to show off to the public and could get our client some negative responses which is the last thing that we want to do.
Production Plan
My advertising plan is to promote a local DJ, DJ Push AKA Chris Thomson. He wants to attract a wider audience to his radio show on Westside.fm his target audience for this campaign are college and university students. DJ Push also wants to create more awareness of his social medias such as his Twitter, Facebook, sound cloud etc.
Our advertising campaign will include creating poster, flyer and stickers to promote him. The products will include and picture of him, his working title, branding, logo and another additional information that will be useful if added.
We will be designing and developing these adcepts and will be distributed around Long Road College as his target audience are college and university student so it seems suitable to hand them out and post posters up around the college.
To design, develop the adcept and to get feedback from the client would take a couple week so the launch date for the campaign will be the 7th of April - 10th April. The 7th of April will be on a Tuesday so it would be appropriate to start the campaign on that date as we can stand outside the Fez on Fresh Tuesday from 9pm-2am the reason to give them out at this time and place is because it is the night that DJ Push organises the event so it seems very appropriate to give out flyers and stickers to the costumers that have already experienced DJ Push's talent and events and hopefully will enjoy his radio show. The 8th, 9th and 10th will be spent in the sixth-form colleges giving out the flyers to get people more aware of him, his events and his radio show, giving people the times and dates that the radio show will be on, we will be at the sixth-form between 10pm-2am which give us enough time to be able engage with the potential consumers.
Product in the market place target audience
The poster will will be put up in colleges and sixth form as it is the relevant location for the target audience that DJ PUSH wants to attract. I want the poster to include relevant information so that when a a potential costumer gets attracted to the poster they can see straight away what the poster is advertising
Proposal for poster
The poster design will be A4 size and will be bright and colourful to attract the audiences attention. I want to poster to look professional so that it gives DJ PUSH a professional appeal to him. I want the poster to include relevant information so that when a a potential costumer gets attracted to the poster they can see straight away what the poster is advertising, but don't want the poster to be run by information as it will look un attractive to the audience so I need to find the right balance between having enough information and not having to much information. The poster will will be put up in colleges and sixth form as it is the relevant location for the target audience that DJ PUSH wants to attract.

The flyer design will be A5 size and will be bright and colourful to attract the audiences attention. I want to flyer to look professional so that it gives DJ PUSH a professional appeal to him. I want the flyer to include relevant information so that when a a potential costumer get given the flyer they can see straight away what the flyer is advertising and if it will appeal to them, but don't want the flyer to be run by too much information as it will look un attractive and amateur to the audience so I need to find the right balance between having enough information and not having to much information. The flyer will will be given out at college and sixth forms if there is any left over from the target location that is planned, which is to give them outside the Fez Club were DJ PUSH's audience are as he plays at those clubs so if we give out flier that refer to him then it's more likely to bring in the audience that enjoyed listening to him live. Also giving out these fliers at these times and location will hit the target audience because it will be Fresh Tuesdays which is a special event night for college and university students so it is totally relevant that we use these opportunities to attract the target audience that we want for this advertising campaign.

The sticker designs will be size 32 font as when we print them we will have to cut them out into the shape of the sticker e.g "@DJ_PUSH" the sticker will be bright and colourful to attract the audiences attention. I want to use a relevant colour scheme to suit DJ PUSH's branding and to also be attractive to the target audience. I want the sticker to be attractive and eye catching so that when a a potential costumer get given or see the stick they can see straight away what the sticker is advertising and if it will appeal to them, which hopefully it will because it is his social media platform, Twitter. The stickers will will be given outside the Fez Club were DJ PUSH's audience are as he plays at those clubs so if we give out sticker with the flier then people know another form of contacting him if they need or want to and by giving it out at the same time of his events then it's more likely to bring in the audience that enjoyed listening to him live. As we are giving out stickers at night time the sticker will have to be bright and noticeable at night otherwise it will just be pointless giving them out as no one will pay attention to them, so it would be relevant to make them florescent colour. Also giving out these stickers at the same time of the fliers at these times and location will hit the target audience because it will be Fresh Tuesdays which is a special event night for college and university students so it is totally relevant that we use these opportunities to attract the target audience that we want for this advertising campaign.

Risk assessment
We will not be doing any filming or photography as we have already been given promo shots of DJ Push from his own work which mean we will not need to worry about location scouting or health a safety for that.
There are potential health and safety risk that we will have to take care about such as RSI when sitting at the computer developing the campaign designs so we will have to take regular breaks when appropriate to prevent and strain injury.
When cutting the stickers out will have to be carful not to cut or injure myself or my working partner.
Transport to and from the locations such as on the 7th I will be getting a train into Cambridge, with some of the printed design in a bag. So make sure I don't get injured when leaving or entering the train stations and also to make sure the printed designs are not damaged on the journey.
When we are outside the Fez club giving out the flyers we'll need to make sure that we are wearing appropriate clothing for the weather and if it start raining be able to protect the printed designs.
Here is a screen shot of how long it would take us to get to Fez club on the night that we are planning and how we are going to get there to do our campaign.

Recce Report
For the concept designs we will have a photo of DJ PUSH on the
front of them as he is our client for the campaign so it appropriate that we organise a promo shoot with DJ PUSH. We will organise a meet at an inside location so we can set up a photo shoot, with plain back drop, lights and other necessary equipment. We will preferably, take the photo's in his own environment so maybe at his office/work office. We will be giving out the designs at the location that have been specified, e.g Long Road, Hills Road, Anglia Ruskin and Fez club.
This is a mapped picture of Long Road and Hill Road. As you can see by the picture they are not a far distance from each other with makes it easier to get from one college to the other.
Hill Road Sixth Form Long Road Sixth Form

Here are picture of Anglia Ruskin University, as you can see from the map so it wouldn't be hard to get over there to carry out the
When we are at our locations we will post up the poster designs
around the colleges. Before we carry out the advertising plan which is to go to these colleges at these dates we will have to go to them and get their consent to carry out the campaign at their locations.
Ones we have their consent then we will find out where we can post the posters and where we will standing or be based at to begin our interaction with the potential audience/costumers.

Revised plan
Lauch date: 7th April -10th April
Location : Fez Club, Long Road Sixth form, Hill Road sixth form, Cambridge Regional college, Anglia Ruskin university
Budget: £100
Invoice:
100 A4 poster =£9.19
500 A5 flyer = £50.50
3Rolls with 300 labels = £17.97
For the material costs it will be £77.66
Orignal designs:
Above are my first template designs, we had production meeting with the client and he gave us feedback on each of the design and how to develop them further.
The sticker was not at all how he wanted it to look like, it had too much information, wasn't eye catching enough, looked like a typical sticker which look amateur and just wasn't what he wanted, he wants just a straight to the point sticker to advertise his twitter media platform.
The poster looked amateur as it was simply designed with no signature design that would suit his other work. Change the font, the colour, and make it more brighter and clearer and change the picture to a picture of him, add other effects to it to make it unique.
The flyer looks good on the front but need to add all relevant information to the back of it, so make it double sided. Change the colour to something more attention grabbing add picture of him with his logo, branding and media platform information add other effects to it to make it unique and more professional.

Dates, timescale and launch dates

Equipment needed
Printer with ink - Print of the designs
A bag to carry the printed designs in.
A laptop with the relevant software to design the adcepts.
Possibly a rain coat incase it rains during giving out the flier and the Fez club event.
Food and drink when at the colleges/sixth-forms.
Transport to and from the events.
Seasonal events
The seasonal calendar will effect carrying on with the advertising campaign as if it winter, not much people will be out on Fresh Tuesdays but there will be more people gathered at the college and sixth-form as it will be in winter so it will be easier to talk to college students when giving out the flyers and poster. The advantage to trying to attract and audience for DJ PUSH in the winter is that it is colder and people will be at home more so there is more chance that they will tune into his radio station at night time as they are at home on social media any way. So if you was going to drag out the campaign over the course of the year it would be better to go to Fresh Tuesday to hand flier and stickers out in the Summer because the stickers refer to social media so it wold attract people to DJ PUSH's social media and in the winter talk to college students at their education destinations as they are more likely to listen to you in the winter and to tune into the radio station in the winter as they are inside anyway.
Before confirming that the campaign will take place I have looking into other relevant legal and ethical issue confirming everything with ASA https://www.cap.org.uk/Advertising-Codes/Non-Broadcast.aspx. When checking over the relevant legal codes most of the boxes were ticked to say that the campaign and the designs are appropriate for distribution. The only codes that may cause some concern is " 05 Children" as if there are posters and fliers being handed out to drunk people then more than likely a few a are going to end up on the floor and then children could see them the next day and either pick it up and read it, exposing them to information about night clubs and DJ PUSH's radio station which is on air at 11PM which is after the water shed to which means there could be inappropriate language used on the show which could become and problem if a child is exposed to it. Another code that could cause problem and linked in with kids is "18 alcohol" due to the flyers and stickers being given out at the clubs which obviously sell alcohol, so we do not want to advertising alcohol to the wrong crowd or an inappropriate crowd.
Personnel activities
I am working with someone on this advertising campaign so we will have our jobs split.
I will be printing off the design to the printer and I have the equipment for that, during the time I am printing it off my work colleague will be making double checking over the designs so that they are up to the standard that we are expecting them to come out. Also he will be the person who keeps in contact with the client to organising meeting and to show it the progress into the campaign.
We are both working on the design collaboratively as we both thought that the design would be more unique with both of our input, instead of one work on one adcept and the other work on the other adcepts

We developed the designs to a basic and then had a production meeting with DJ PUSH so he can say what he likes and what he doesn't like about the design which made it easier to change the designs as he can say, "I would like this, that but not that" etc.
We are meeting with DJ PUSH on 22nd March, this gives us enough time to go a change the designs if we need to and to be possible to have another meeting with him if necessary. We are then planning on going out to a recce locations and do a shoot for our client, I am planning on doing this between the dates of March 27th-29th as the weather looks appropriate and traveling to a from the locations. I then hope to get the designs finished and printed by the 3rd April so that we have a few days to plan and last minute changes and to have a final meeting with the client before we go a head with the campaign, this also will give us time if any thing goes wrong so we will have a final meeting with DJ PUSH on the 5th which on the Sunday and the campaign launches on the 7th of April.
Here is the locations that we will carry out our campaign.
Fez club is located down the middle of the buildings

Before going out to pursue the campaign we will gave 2/3 meetings with DJ PUSH to discuss all the information and relevant issues and possible problems that could a rise.

Proposal for TV or moving image
DJ PUSH could use the designs and then develop them into a TV advert, using the design base e.g the picture used on the design and the information used and if he wanted to develop a short advert it would be easier if he has print based designs as a moving image can be apart of the advertising campaign. If he wanted I can even design a short animation that will be suitable for him campeign e.g create a cartoon of him.

Another code that could cause problem and linked in with kids is "18 alcohol" due to the flyers and stickers being given out at the clubs which obviously sell alcohol, so we do not want to advertising alcohol to the wrong crowd or an inappropriate crowd.
