My advertising plan is to promote a local DJ, DJ Push AKA Chris Thomson. He wants to attract a wider audience to his radio show on Westside.fm his target audience for this campaign are college and university students. DJ Push also wants to create more awareness of his social medias such as his Twitter, Facebook, sound cloud etc.
Our advertising campaign will include creating poster, flyer and stickers to promote him. The products will include and picture of him, his working title, branding, logo and another additional information that will be useful if added.
We will be designing and developing these adcepts and will be distributed around Long Road College as his target audience are college and university student so it seems suitable to hand them out and post posters up around the college.
To design, develop the adcept and to get feedback from the client would take a couple week so the launch date for the campaign will be the 7th of April - 10th April. The 7th of April will be on a Tuesday so it would be appropriate to start the campaign on that date as we can stand outside the Fez on Fresh Tuesday from 9pm-2am the reason to give them out at this time and place is because it is the night that DJ Push organises the event so it seems very appropriate to give out flyers and stickers to the costumers that have already experienced DJ Push's talent and events and hopefully will enjoy his radio show. The 8th, 9th and 10th will be spent in the sixth-form colleges giving out the flyers to get people more aware of him, his events and his radio show, giving people the times and dates that the radio show will be on, we will be at the sixth-form between 10pm-2am which give us enough time to be able engage with the potential consumers.

The flyer will will be given out at college and sixth forms if there is any left over from the target location that is planned, which is to give them outside the Fez Club were DJ PUSH's audience are as he plays at those clubs so if we give out flier that refer to him then it's more likely to bring in the audience that enjoyed listening to him live. Also giving out these fliers at these times and location will hit the target audience because it will be Fresh Tuesdays which is a special event night for college and university students so it is totally relevant that we use these opportunities to attract the target audience that we want for this advertising campaign.

The sticker designs will be size 32 font as when we print them we will have to cut them out into the shape of the sticker e.g "@DJ_PUSH" the sticker will be bright and colourful to attract the audiences attention. I want to use a relevant colour scheme to suit DJ PUSH's branding and to also be attractive to the target audience. I want the sticker to be attractive and eye catching so that when a a potential costumer get given or see the stick they can see straight away what the sticker is advertising and if it will appeal to them, which hopefully it will because it is his social media platform, Twitter. The stickers will will be given outside the Fez Club were DJ PUSH's audience are as he plays at those clubs so if we give out sticker with the flier then people know another form of contacting him if they need or want to and by giving it out at the same time of his events then it's more likely to bring in the audience that enjoyed listening to him live. As we are giving out stickers at night time the sticker will have to be bright and noticeable at night otherwise it will just be pointless giving them out as no one will pay attention to them, so it would be relevant to make them florescent colour. Also giving out these stickers at the same time of the fliers at these times and location will hit the target audience because it will be Fresh Tuesdays which is a special event night for college and university students so it is totally relevant that we use these opportunities to attract the target audience that we want for this advertising campaign.

Risk assessment
We will not be doing any filming or photography as we have already been given promo shots of DJ Push from his own work which mean we will not need to worry about location scouting or health a safety for that.
There are potential health and safety risk that we will have to take care about such as RSI when sitting at the computer developing the campaign designs so we will have to take regular breaks when appropriate to prevent and strain injury.
When cutting the stickers out will have to be carful not to cut or injure myself or my working partner.
Transport to and from the locations such as on the 7th I will be getting a train into Cambridge, with some of the printed design in a bag. So make sure I don't get injured when leaving or entering the train stations and also to make sure the printed designs are not damaged on the journey.
When we are outside the Fez club giving out the flyers we'll need to make sure that we are wearing appropriate clothing for the weather and if it start raining be able to protect the printed designs.

Legal and ethical issues
The issues with the advertising campaign is people could feel as you are disturbing them when trying to hand them a flyer as you are trying to get them to listen to a radio station and they might just look it as another reason for advertising. How you can go about avoiding offending or disturbing people is to either try and pick out specific people that the advertising plan has target the audience or the way you approach to potential costumers. One of the main legal issues that pops up when advertising is copyright. When creating the logo for our clients company we need to make sure nothing we use is copyrighted. This could really let our client down if we did use something that was copyrighted as it could affect her business negatively if she uses a copyrighted logo for her company. Another legal and ethical issues that we need to remember if the fact that we are trying to gain her customers of all ages and backgrounds so when showing off her art to possible customers we need to use suitable pieces of artwork. Our client, in the past, has painted nude images, this would be unsuitable to show off to the public and could get our client some negative responses which is the last thing that we want to do.
Recce Report
For the concept designs we will have a photo of DJ PUSH on the
front of them as he is our client for the campaign so it appropriate that we organise a promo shoot with DJ PUSH. We will organise a meet at an inside location so we can set up a photo shoot, with plain back drop, lights and other necessary equipment. We will preferably, take the photo's in his own environment so maybe at his office/work office. We will be giving out the designs at the location that have been specified, e.g Long Road, Hills Road, Anglia Ruskin and Fez club.

When we are at our locations we will post up the poster designs
around the colleges. Before we carry out the advertising plan which is to go to these colleges at these dates we will have to go to them and get their consent to carry out the campaign at their locations.
Ones we have their consent then we will find out where we can post the posters and where we will standing or be based at to begin our interaction with the potential audience/costumers.
